What does the Super Bowl mean for your taxes?
It's simple - it means it's time to get moving.
You're going to start getting documents in W-2s, 1099s, all that. Or you have your business books to work on and get ready for your accountant.
If you have a preparer, or if you need to get one, you need to get stuff to them ASAP. Both with this practice and everywhere else I've worked, early February is the calm before the storm, and if you act now, you can get your return done by the end of the month. Waiting until the end of February, though, will put you in the middle of the rush - and no one enjoys that.
