More Revenue, More Money?

More revenue doesn’t necessarily mean more money for you.

The profitability of a business at low volume looks very different from the profitability of a business at high volume.

The #1 reason for this is because, at least volume, much of the profit comes from the owner’s own labor in the business. This can be from directly serving clients in service businesses, making sales, managing clients, or directly supervising operations.

If your business doesn’t make money off the labor of your employees right now, adding more employees won’t make you more money.
